WASHINGTON, United States — The federal administration has carried out more than 3 million deportations and tightened visa and citizenship rules over 15 consecutive months without releasing any undocumented foreign nationals into the country.
Golden Info reports that the Department of State released a fact sheet describing the measures as efforts to prioritize American citizens and restore the immigration system after record levels of illegal entries under the previous Biden administration.
“President Trump has delivered on his promise to fix the immigration system, prioritize American citizens, and protect U.S. citizenship. The border is sealed. The results are undeniable,” the statement said.
More than 3 million undocumented immigrants have been deported since Donald Trump returned to office, including thousands convicted of violent crimes.
The government has filed claims against 88 individuals accused of fraudulently obtaining U.S. citizenship as part of a denaturalization campaign. Taxpayer-funded benefits have been terminated for over 1.4 million immigrants improperly receiving public assistance, and they are now banned from more than a dozen healthcare programs.
Visa processing is currently paused for 75 high-risk countries to deter overstays, and the administration has moved to remove tens of thousands of undocumented immigrants from state voter rolls. The administration reformed the citizenship test to better assess applicants’ understanding of American history and government.
The U.S. Mission in Nigeria has issued repeated warnings to Nigerian visa applicants and holders to comply strictly with immigration laws. The diplomatic mission stated that visas will be revoked for criminal activity, overstaying, fraud, or engaging in conduct that threatens public safety.
