LAGOS, Nigeria — Golden Info reports that Emmanuel Alogbo, the Spiritual Father of the Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Ayo Ni O, died at the age of 93 in Lagos on Thursday, July 30, 2026.
The church announced the death in a statement issued by its Secretary-General, Prophet Anthony Olusesan Samaye. The statement confirmed that Alogbo passed away peacefully at approximately 2:10 a.m. WAT, surrounded by his family and domestic staff.
“With gratitude to God Almighty for a life well spent, on behalf of the Board of Trustees and the entire church, I write to inform you all that our Spiritual Father… was called to glory in the early hours of today, July 30, 2026, at about 2:10 a.m.,” Samaye said.
Alogbo led one of Nigeria’s prominent indigenous Christian denominations and was recognised as one of the country’s longest-serving church leaders. The church described him as a devoted leader dedicated to the service of God and humanity.
“May his soul rest in perfect peace, and may God grant the church the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” the statement said.
Prayer sessions will be held daily for seven days starting at 5 p.m. WAT at his residence, located at Plot 1, Alogbo Close, off Ahmadiyya Bus Stop in Ijaiye-Ojokoro. The church stated that details of his funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.
