AKURE, Nigeria — Hon Abiodun James Ojo has formally declared his intention to contest for a seat in the Ondo State House of Assembly, seeking to represent Odigbo Constituency II under the platform of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).
Golden Info reports that Ojo announced his decision in a statement made available to Peak Newspaper. “with deep gratitude and a strong sense of responsibility, I sincerely appreciate the overwhelming show of love, support, and encouragement from across our communities,” Ojo said.
“I have listened attentively to the voices of our parents, mostly the youths, leaders, and stakeholders, many of whom openly and passionately called on me to step forward and serve,” Ojo said. “After careful reflection and wide consultations, I, Hon Abiodun James Ojo, hereby formally declare my intention to contest for the Ondo State State House of Assembly seat representing Odigbo Constituency II.”
If given the mandate, Ojo stated his campaign will prioritize people-oriented lawmaking, effective oversight, youth and women inclusion through empowerment initiatives, and advocacy for infrastructure, human, and economic development.
“I humbly call on our respected elders, political leaders, women, youths, and all stakeholders to support this vision as we work together to build a more united, progressive, and prosperous Odigbo Constituency II,” Ojo said.
